I did reply to your question but did it as a separate response to the episode. Yes, the comments do show up but I only run the cron job for the fediverse every 5 minutes.
Even then, there is some weird lag/delay when I post things to my Castopod instance of around 8 hours. I've been working with the Castopod team on it and am still not sure if that is related to my host or something else.
